چکیده
In this study, we have tried to find and analyse the outcome of coxofemoral bypasss in intertrochanteric fractures which were operated at a tertiary care hospital Bhopal, M.P., India completed follow up till 12 months. These patients analysed on various intra-operative post-operative parameters. Functional assessment was done using Harris Hip Score. Score showed that 04(20%) had excellent results, 08 (40%) patient good fair 02(10%) poor results. Poor results seen with multiple co-morbidities. This study indicates bypass for elderly has shown achieve early rehabilitation long-term

Intertrochanteric Femur Fracture Stability
INTRODUCTION Intertrochanteric (IT) femur fractures are common in elderly patients who are often in poor general health. Intertrochanteric fractures are classified as stable or unstable, taking into account fracture morphology and involvement of the posteromedial calcar. The purpose of this study is to determine whether IT fracture stability can be used as a marker for general health or as a pr...
متن کاملDoes integrity of the lesser trochanter influence the surgical outcome of intertrochanteric fracture in elderly patients?
BACKGROUND Most surgeons do not fix the lesser trochanter when managing femoral intertrochanteric fractures with intramedullary nails. We have not found any published clinical studies on the relationship between the integrity of the lesser trochanter and surgical outcomes of intertrochanteric fractures treated with intramedullary nails. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of th...
متن کاملINTERTAN nail versus proximal femoral nail antirotation-Asia for intertrochanteric femur fractures in elderly patients with primary osteoporosis
Objectives To compare the long-term functional and radiographic outcomes of the proximal femoral nail antirotation-Asia (PFNA-II) and INTERTAN nail (IT) in the management of intertrochanteric femoral fractures (IFFs) (AO/OTA Type 31A1.1-A2.3) in elderly patients with primary osteoporosis. Methods A retrospective comparative study was performed in our institution. From January 2009 to March 2012...
متن کاملClinical outcome of dynamic hip locking plates and proximal femoral nails anti-rotation-Asia for treating intertrochanteric femur fracture with lateral wall fractures in the elder patients
Purpose To compare the clinical results of DHLP (Dynamic hip locking plates) and PFNA-IIs (proximal femoral nails anti-rotation-Asia) for treating intertrochanteric femur fracture (IFF) with lateral wall fractures in the elder patients and provide a rationale for the clinical practice. Methods A retrospective analysis of 43 patients of IFF with lateral wall fractures was performed from Decemb...
متن کاملOutcome following proximal femoral fracture in the elderly female.
Outcome after proximal femoral fracture was assessed in 89 elderly females. Mortality both in hospital and subsequent to discharge was identified, with a mortality rate of 13.5% at 30 days and 35% after one year. The median length of stay was 28 days, with 40% of subjects transferred for geriatric-orthopaedic care. Delay prior to surgery and its relationship to increased mortality was highlight...
